Artist's Description
A covered bridge is a timber-truss bridge with a roof and siding which create an almost complete enclosure. Harpersfield Covered Bridge spans the Grand River in Ashtabula County, Ohio. At 228 ft long, it is the 3rd longest covered bridge in Ohio. The bridge was built in 1868, the steel span was added in 1913 after a flood washed away the north end of the bridge.
