Description
Black-eyed Susans and Gloriosa Daisies are upstanding, perennial plants bearing flowerheads like daisies. The central cones can be green or purple. The leaves are mid-green and lance shaped. The plant reaches 1-3 ft tall with a spread of 12 in. Hybrid forms, called gloriosa daisies have yellow, gold, red, mahogany and bi-colored flowers up to 6" in diameter. This perennial does best in sunny locations, is easily grown, and is very well suite to mass-planting in meadow gardens in zones 4-8.
