Description
A mausoleum is an external free-standing building constructed as a monument enclosing the interment space or burial chamber of a deceased person or people. This is the mausoleum of Charles Collins, engineer and architect, of the Lake Shore & Michigan Railroad. The bridge collapsed during a fierce snowstorm in December, 1876. Known as the Great Train Disaster, 159 passengers and crew members were killed, most burned beyond recognition. The Chestnut Grove Cemetery is one of the most haunted cemetery's in Ohio. Many believe they have seen Charles Collins walking the grounds.
